Wholesome Health Small Group Classes bridges the gap between expensive personal training and most gyms that do not provide any motivation, education and accountability. You will receive the same attention a personal training session offers, but in a small group, that will organically create energy and motivating competition.

 

Our fitness classes are open to all age groups and fitness levels, from beginners to experienced athletes, including those with injuries and physical limitations. The Head Trainer (Jacob Smith) can and WILL work with any fitness level.

Group Exercise Class Descriptions

Small Group Personal Training: Beginner-Intermediate Level (no experience needed)

  • Circuit training with weights and cardio

  • High calorie burn

  • 1 hour workout

  • Focus in on Weight loss, toning, and cardio endurance

Strength and Conditioning: Intermediate to Advanced (Must have 6 month- 1year of weight lifting experience )

  • Strength training with weights

  • 1 hour intense workout

  • Combination of Compound and Isolation exercises

  • Focus is on Building muscle and Shaping your natural Physique

Why is Wholesome Health Small Group so effective?

1. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

Our North Branch fitness classes are a 1-hour workout, we will alternate between fixed intervals of high and low intensity workouts customized according to muscle groups. Not only do you burn more calories during a HIIT workout, but you will burn more fat 24 hours After the workout is complete. Pushing yourself into this anaerobic zone can be difficult IF you DON’T have someone to motivate and push you through it!

 

Other benefits of HIIT training include:
You will LOSE WEIGHT but NOT muscle. HIIT targets your fat storage, unlike steady cardio which can encourage muscle loss.

At Wholesome Health, we always include plenty of strength training in our exercise classes, for physical and mental health reasons:
Develop strong bones. By stressing your bones, strength training increases bone density and reduces the risk of osteoporosis
Controls your weight. As you gain muscle your body begins to burn calories more efficiently. The more toned your muscles, the easier it is to control your weight
Boosts your stamina. As you get stronger, you won’t fatigue as easily. Building muscle also contributes to better balance, which can help you maintain independence as you age.
Manage chronic conditions. Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, including; back pain, arthritis, obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

3. Nutritional Coaching

Nutrition is 70% of your results. Most people struggle with the discipline, education, and the organization of eating healthy. At Wholesome we effectively identify what aspects you are lacking, and coach you through the process of steps needed to take your health and fitness to the next level!

Working in a group setting creates high energy workouts with added accountability. You receive the attention of a personal training session but in a group setting where each participant is working towards a specific goal. Custom designed workouts are built in with different levels of fitness in mind. This creates a relationship with the members and the trainer, which increases the accountability and success of your fitness goals!
